McGinnis School of Driving has been serving the needs of New Mexico since 1964. Wyett H. McGinnis started our original location at 2745 San Mateo NE and opened the location at 1523 Eubank NE in 1976 to better serve our growing community.The schools are still solely owned and taught by the McGinnis's. McGinnis School of Driving is now comprised of five locations in Albuquerque after opening our newest office in December 2003 at Montgomery and Tramway.

Our instruction has been the backbone of our success for 43 years. All of our instructors are certified by the State Board of Education and the New Mexico Transportation Safety Bureau. They submit to a thorough background check and a yearly driving record check. However, we require more of our instructors than the State requires. David McGinnis trains all of our instructors in our unique methodology of instructing the beginning driver both in the classroom and behind the wheel:

If you like teaching, have a bachelors degree, like working with all ages, (we have had students into their 70's), and like the idea of making your own schedule, we might be just what you're looking for.

All of our instructors are current and retired public school teachers and coaches. We are able to work around your school schedule and offer you full time opportunities during school vacations and the summer months.
